THINKING DAY 2008                       SUMMER OLYMPICS

We started off with the parade of Flags and then the torch was brought in.  The flame shown as we talked about the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts and pointed out on the world Map where the World Centers are: Our Chalet, Switzerland: Pax Lodge in England: Sangam, India: Our Cabana in Mexico. The closing was a ceremony about the "Trefoil"; what each symbol means and then what the word TREFOIL spelled out in means like "T" is for tradition; "F" is for fun;   "L" is for loyalty etc. Then the torch was extinguished for another year.  A good time was had by those who could make it.
